NEW MEMBERS WANTED!
The official "Membership Rally" night has passed, but guests are
always welcome at rehearsals. And if you are one of the many guests
who were with us the 29th, be sure to return again and again - better
yet, bring a friend! BUT, we won't be having rehearsal Sunday, September
5th due to the Labor Day holiday. It's also a great time for members who may not have been
attending to re-join the group. Membership is open to incoming high school
freshman and older - no auditions, no membership fee!

 Changing
Hearts Crusade
The New Generation
Singers were a part of the final night of the Changing
Hearts Crusade at the Fairgrounds in Platte City, Missouri.
Although it was hot, the evening will be remembered for much
more than a little bit of discomfort. Special thanks to Pastor Jimmy Porter
for being such a strong supporter of New G.

40th Year Reunion!
It was a great weekend! So many
friendships made and renewed. Pictures are linked below and
here is a video by Josh Smith, one of the current Singers.
He's also an "extreme geek" because this was done DURING the
day on his new iPhone4. Yes, video and editing on the phone!

Important Upcoming Dates and Information
No
Rehearsal - New G will not be rehearsing on Sunday, September 5th
due to Labor Day - see you September 12th!
Membership Rally - Although August 29th was an official
"Membership Rally" night, guests are always welcome and now is a
great time to join; we're already starting Christmas music for our
concerts this December. Rehearsals are from 5:00
to 7:30 p.m. at Ashland United Methodist Church. (But we're not
rehearsing September 5th!)
Membership is open to incoming high school freshman through single,
college-age
young adults. Contact Debbie at 816-294-7352 for more
information.
