More on the Executive Committee...
Even though the sponsor
couples oversee all of the activities the group undertakes, a select group of
New G members are in charge of the day-to-day running of the group.
The Executive Committee
is a group of elected representatives from the New Generation Singers. Exec
consists of a president, vice president, secretary, treasurer, an immediate
past president, nine delegates and five sponsors.
These executive
members serve
as the “hub” of the group: brainstorming, organizing and following up on ideas
which help the group its their goals. This group also serves as the
“eyes and ears” of the group, addressing all suggestions, questions or
complaints.
The committee's main duties are
membership, group activities, financial resources, and chairing various
committees. The Executive Committee offers the opportunity for members to
play an important role in the decision-making process of The New Generation
Singers. They
also gain valuable leadership experience and acceptance of increased
responsibilities.
